2008 AUDI RS4 — 12,105 ORIGINAL MILES — ONE OWNER CALIFORNIA CAR
An extraordinary example of one of Audi’s greatest performance cars.
Offered here is a truly exceptional 2008 Audi RS4 showing just 12,105 original miles. One owner from new, California-owned its entire life, completely unmodified, and preserved to a level that is nearly impossible to duplicate today.
To our knowledge, this is the lowest-mileage unmodified 2008 Audi RS4 currently offered for sale in the United States.
The condition and history are just as remarkable as the mileage. This RS4 has never seen rain, the front of the car has been protected with paint protection film (PPF), and incredibly, the rear seats have never been sat in. This is not simply a low-mileage RS4—it is a time-capsule example of a car that has become increasingly significant to collectors and enthusiasts.
WHY THE B7 RS4 IS SO SPECIAL
The B7-generation RS4 represents a combination Audi has never truly recreated.
Under the hood is Audi’s legendary naturally aspirated 4.2-liter FSI V8, producing 420 horsepower and capable of spinning to approximately 8,250 rpm. Power is delivered exclusively through a 6-speed manual transmission and Audi’s rear-biased quattro all-wheel-drive system.
No automatic. No turbochargers. No hybrid assistance.
Just a high-revving naturally aspirated V8, three pedals, and quattro.
The engine itself is particularly significant. The high-performance 4.2-liter V8 developed for the RS4 went on to form the basis for the V8 used in Audi’s original R8 supercar, further cementing the B7 RS4’s place in Audi performance history.
The RS4 also received hardware far beyond that of a standard A4 or S4, including its Dynamic Ride Control suspension, massive brakes, widened bodywork, 19-inch wheels, and aggressive RS-specific styling.
Period testing put 0–60 mph performance in approximately the mid-four-second range—serious performance today and extraordinary for a four-door sedan introduced nearly two decades ago.
And these cars were never common. Published U.S. production information indicates only approximately 651 RS4 sedans were produced for the U.S. market for 2008, making pristine surviving examples increasingly difficult to find.
THIS EXAMPLE
• Only 12,105 Original Miles
• One Owner Since New
• California Car Since New
• Never Seen Rain
• Completely Unmodified
• Original Factory Configuration
• Front-End Paint Protection Film (PPF)
• Rear Seats Have Never Been Sat In
• Naturally Aspirated 4.2L FSI V8
• 420 Horsepower
• 6-Speed Manual Transmission
• quattro All-Wheel Drive
• One of the Lowest-Mileage RS4s Remaining Anywhere
The majority of B7 RS4s were purchased to be driven—and many have since accumulated substantial mileage, been modified, or changed hands numerous times. Finding an example with 12,105 miles, one-owner history, California provenance, no modifications and this level of preservation is extraordinarily difficult.
For the collector searching for an RS4 to preserve rather than restore, this is the kind of car that may not be easily replaced.
The B7 RS4 came from a very different era of German performance: a naturally aspirated V8, an 8,000+ rpm soundtrack, a manual gearbox, understated four-door bodywork and quattro traction.
They simply do not build cars like this anymore.
